Camino Francias with GPS: *.kml files for your map software

Here I have some files that computer geeks might find useful.

  • My cycloroute from Bratislava, Slovakia to Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port
    • The offical starting point of Camino Francais.
      • Download
  • Walking route for Camino Francais
    • Downloaded from a website and allowed for free sharing.  Walking pilgrims will not need it much because the Camino is perfectly marked, but it might be still useful as a reference.

  • Biking route for Camino Francais
    • The record of my Camino Francais on bike, loosely based on the cycling guide. Following the motto of the Camino, no pain - no glory, I always took the harder alternative. The first day leads through the walking route in the Pyrenees which is not even marked as an alternative in the guide. The supposed bike route leads through valleyes, but I wanted a real challenge, so I took the hardest way possible. This way is out of question if you do not have a proper mountain bike. You can inquire about the easier way at the Pilgrims office in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port. Another more difficult alternative leads through Extauri, a mountain peak behind Pamplona. If you want to use this *.kml file, please consider buying the cycling guide. The price is reasonable and you will find there much more information than in this solo data for your GPS.
